I spent my first thirty years living a mess, the next ten years, after coming to Christ, striving to overcome my mess, and the last few years learning to rest in Jesus, despite my mess. This “rest” came at a high cost, but not for me.
Perhaps, that is why it is so hard to enter.
We are so inclined to earn our REST.
Some of us are comfortable with our mess, yet we fear God’s glory inside of us. This is just as dangerous.
Both, fear of the Mess and fear of the glory, are both based on unbelief. Both fail to enter into the rest that God has provided, and His perfect love that casts out all fear.
Fear and Mess, Jesus reconciled the two on the Cross.
Perfect Love and Mess collided in the heart of Jesus.
