Rhonda has been speaking since 2006—for eighteen years. Her journey began when Jesus called her and gave her a vision of sitting at a table with Him, holding His hand while, with the other hand, reaching for whoever would come to her. “It takes being brave and vulnerable to come to Jesus' table. The women willing to come are the ones He's called me to.”
Rhonda lives what Jesus said in John 12:49, “For I did not speak on my own, but the Father who sent me commanded me to say all that I have spoken.” She says, “In and of myself, I have nothing worthwhile to say. My words and thoughts are weightless. Yet, as I stand in Christ, He will use His Word and the Holy Spirit to bring glory to His name through the gifts of speaking and writing He's entrusted to me.”
Becoming Ewe is the topic she has revisited the most; it has become her life message. “The thing about sheep is that they never arrive, they travel up, down, and around mountains their whole lives as they are led by their shepherd. Therefore, the Shepherd's voice becomes their home. And so it is with us.” God constantly encourages her to let Him be the Shepherd of her life, and He uses her, encouraging others to do the same.
“When I speak, I am leaning into Christ and receiving from Him just as much, if not more than the audience is. I let myself become the vessel through which He serves His living water. I enjoy letting His life and love for those around me flow through me; it's when I feel closest to Him and the body of Christ. When I speak or write, I pray that others experience Christ in such a personal way that it changes their eternity forever.”
